Amaç: Glukagon, salınımının sodyum-glukoz ko-transporter 2 inhibitörü(SGLT2i) kullanımı ile arttığı, dipeptidil peptidaz-4 inhibitörü(DPP-4i) kullanımı ile azaldığı bilinmektedir. Glukagon üzerine farklı yönde etkileri göz önüne alınarak bu çalışmada, bu iki grup ilacı kullanan hastaların kan üre düzeylerini ve tahmini glomerüler filtrasyon hızını(eGFR) birlikte ele alarak değerlendirmek amaçlanmıştır.

Yöntem: SGLT2i grubunda 109 ve DPP4igrubunda 111 olmak üzere 220 hasta çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Hastaların tedaviye başlamadan önce, tedaviden 1-3 ay sonra ve tedaviden 4-6 ay sonra yapılan kan testleri retrospektif olarak değerlendirilmiştir.

Bulgular: SGLT2i grubunda kan üre düzeyinde, kreatinin ve eGFR 0., 1. ve 2. viziteler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptanmıştır. DPP-4i grubunda ise kan üre düzeyinde ve eGFR 0., 1. ve 2. viziteler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık saptanmamıştır.

Sonuç: Kan üre düzeyinin SGLT2i kullanan hastalarda artarken, DPP-4i kullanan hastalarda değişmediği saptanmıştır. Bu ilaçları hem monoterapi hem de kombine tedavi olarak değerlendirmeye alan, aynı zamanda bu ilacı kullananlarda plazma glukagon seviyelerinin üre ile etkileşimini değerlendiren prospektif çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.
